Our first example of outstanding customer experience looks at interactive wine experience Vagabond Wines. Two key customer pain points in typical wine bars are queuing at the bar and bewilderment at the choice of wines available. Vagabond Wines has developed an F&B proposition focused on solving these problems, featuring a top-up card that lets patrons sample multiple wines without queuing, self-service bottle taps that allow experimentation and clear tasting notes to help orientate the consumer. We love the customer centricity of a proposition that has been designed to address specific customer needs and helps make what can be an intimidating ordering experience into a fun and engaging social activity. Vagabond is enjoying success; it recently secured a £3.5 million investment from UK leisure and hospitality investor Imbiba to expand its portfolio. #customerexperience
