To conduct a strategic review of Ramenka's supermarket and shopping centre operations in Russia to inform IFC's development finance evaluation model.
What we did:
- Visited Moscow & St Petersburg and assessed the retail market structure and competitive profiles in supermarkets, hypermarkets and shopping centres
- Conducted a detailed economic assessment of the developing retail & consumer market, and also of the property investment retail shopping centre sector.
- Interviewed the management team and key suppliers.
- Reviewed Ramenka business plan and identified key areas of sensitivity and investment risk
Result:
Our findings helped IFC to establish key risk parameters, and hence to shape their funding and investment model.
