Task:
To assist the management team at Muscat and Salalah International Airports with the development of the retail strategy and design for the new airports.

What we did:
  • Passenger segmentation and flow analysis
  • Space supportable and financial forecasting
  • Detailed commercial space planning and merchandise mix

Result:
Pragma worked with the airport to provide an optimal retailing solution, and the architects have incorporated our commercial plans into their overall airport design. The approved design has now been sent to the Minister of Muscat.

 


Space Supportable and Revenue Forecasting

In order to understand how much retailing should be provided in key areas of airports, railway stations and other travel environments, Pragma has developed a detailed space supportable model, which uses passenger segmentation and flow patterns to forecast likely passenger behaviour in commercial areas and therefore the size and scope of retailing required.
