Task:
Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur is a typical example of an airport terminal extension programme. We were asked to understand how to design, lay-out and plan the retail mix to maximise upmarket passenger spends per head.

What we did:

• Passenger research and analysis
• Space planning
• Advising on lay-out and retail mix
• Forecasting revenue/retail income

Result:

Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur implemented our recommendations and the extension has been extremely successful.


Space Supportable and Revenue Forecasting

In order to understand how much retailing should be provided in key areas of airports, railway stations and other travel environments, Pragma has developed a detailed space supportable model, which uses passenger segmentation and flow patterns to forecast likely passenger behaviour in commercial areas and therefore the size and scope of retailing required.
