Customer Research & Market Analysis

Bristol International Airport

Regular research supports continual commercial improvements

Client:
Bristol International Airport

Task:
To provide regular passenger behaviour and requirements research covering car parking, retailing and food & beverage.

What we do:
4 waves of detailed passenger behaviour and profiling research every year covering passenger profiles, usage and rating of car parks (including competitors), dwell times, usage of retailing and catering facilities and key requirements for improvement.

Result:
The passenger research enables the commercial management team at Bristol International Airport to continually improve the facilities for passengers. An understanding of car parking decision drivers led to the introduction of a new on-airport car park product that has halved the market share of competitor (off-airport) car parks.

The retail and catering offer has been extended to match the needs of passengers, and unproductive landside space has been switched to airside.

Pragma continues to provide regular passenger research studies to Bristol International Airport.

"I have worked closely with Pragma over the last 4 years and can rely on them to give me a detailed appreciation of my passengers and their needs by asking the right questions, and presenting the findings in a clear and easy to understand manner. They are always on time and on budget."
